Open Road Biker

I was strolling through a few sites today and ran across a heads up comparison of two great bikes; the Sportster 1200R and the Triumph Scrambler. Now I am not a big fan of small bikes but these two look like they could hold their own. I have been thinking about what I could do with an old Sporty or Triumph a whole lot lately and I think I may just try and pick one up when I get back from the middle east sometime in 2009. I think you could make an awesome looking bobber out of one. I guess I will just have to see. Well without waiting too much longer go ahead and head on over and check out the story.
Sportster and Triumph

I spent a little time down in the swamps in Louisiana training but now I am back for a little while. I spent today getting re-acquainted with my bike on the back roads here in Tennessee and what a day to do it! Have you ever hoped to get lost while out riding? Well I tried today; I had plenty of fuel and was hoping to get lost for a little while but to no avail. I did get to enjoy some nice riding though. While out riding I came across a few deer crossing the road, while that can sometimes be a little dangerous I seen them in time to give me plenty of room to slow down and let them decide what they wanted to do. I also got to see a hawk perched up on a power line eying his surroundings. It is getting a little chilly here in north western Tennessee so the weather may not be that great to ride in soon but that’s okay, I plan on riding in everything except ice until the Army sends me to Afghanistan next year. Maybe some time this week I will find the time to put my new tires on and then I won’t have to worry about the bike coming out from under me as much while in the rain with the slick tires I got on right now.
Well look forward to a few new articles over the next few days now that I am back and until next time keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down.

Yep, the military has me out training for the next few weeks, I probably won’t have access to a computer for a while so I won’t be able to update while I am gone. Enjoy the site, especially the forums and when I get back I am going to try and ramp it up a notch around here and give yall some good articles. I will be on a short hiatus these next few weeks. My job will have me away from the computer for the next three weeks so the site will not get updated. Sorry for the absence but it just can’t be helped. I appreciate all of my loyal readers but while I am away go back and look through the old articles, you may find something you like in there.
