I was looking around youtube to see if they had “Panheads Forever” by David Allan Coe when I found this one. It is a live video taken at the Ironhorse Saloon of David Allan Coe doing “Harley Someday”. Listen to the whole song and then tell me what you think.

Youtube Harley-Davidson Channel

I was reading my latest copy of American Iron and I seen an article stating the Harley Davidson had it’s own Youtube channel now. I went and browsed it and found some good videos but it also got me to thinking. About a month or so ago I got a friend request from Harley Davidson through myspace. It seems to me that Harley is using a few different approaches to marketing lately and they seem to aiming them at the computer using crowd. This all goes along with the whole Dark Customs marketing campaign where they target a younger audience. I think it is just a ploy to continue riding the custom bike wave that got real popular back in 2002-2003 that is calming back down right now. The current popular type of motorcycles seem to be baggers and bare bones style bobbers and the Dark Custom line is trying to take advantage of the bobber scene where less is more while targeting a younger audience. I guess the whole economic slow down has H-D looking to improve their revenue stream.

Precision Riding

I was emailed a copy of this video and decided I needed to share it so I found a copy of it on youtube. It is a video of the Italian Police Motorcycle Drill Team. This is probably some of the best precision riding on the largest scale I have ever seen but to be frank these guys need to be able to ride well considering where they are riding. I have heard first hand accounts from friends as to the dangers of riding in Italy. What do you think, is your riding on par with these guys?

Stunts on a Harley

I got to see this guy (Craig Jones) do some of this stuff at a motorcycle expo while I lived in Belgium. It was the first time I had seen someone wheelie a Dyna. He can do some fairly neat stuff on a motorcycle. This video doesn’t show his best stuff but it is still a good watch.

I have been Reading The Horse BSC since I ran across a copy while in Iraq in 2003. What a great magazine. They don’t have all of the trailer queens in there, just a whole lot of stuff that you could build in your own garage (if you have the skills). Hell Ride

I have been watching a few Quentin Tarantino movies here lately and while browsing around the internet I ran across this new movie that he is doing “Hell Ride”. It looks like it is going to be a great throwback to ’70s biker flics. It has a host of great actors like Michael Madsen and Dennis Hopper. I haven’t seen a good motorcycle flic in a while so it will be nice when this one comes out. From some of the pictures that I have seen they have some pretty sweet rides in there also. Not a whole lot of trailer queens, all of the bikes look like they have been rode a fair amount. I guess I am going to have to go and dig into my movies and find a good biker movie to tide me over until this one comes out. Here is a list of a few that you can pick up and watch now;
