Success are in the hands of the achiever and those who achieve will succeed, there are many bikers of the Gilroy Indian 100 plus cycles out there who want the Indian motorcycles to succeed because we like the bike. But how could one carry a motorcycle co. forward knowing that all those unhappy bikers/customers are out there and not do anything about it.If we look at the history of bikers we can see an affordable means of transportation and to some ,,a toy an escape and always the Blue collar's chioce BECAUSE OF THE PRICE then came the excitement and the sense of freedom. The new Indian co.should take a Good hard look at their MARKETING PLAN and change course if they Do not want to end up like the Gilroy co.It appears that the sales plan DOES NOT INCLUDE bikers..

It's a shame that they didn't stand behind their product and a wonder there wasn't a huge class action lawsuit to make someone pay for all of the bad engines out there. I am kind of torn on whether I want Indian to succeed, one part of me wants to see the brand live but the other part thinks that if they want to price their stuff so only the rich man can afford to buy it then we don't need them around.

I have been an Indian fan for yrs.I decided to purchase one that carried the hefty price tag of 24,500.. It was the 02 model chief road master.I babied that bike and tried to get it serviced by what was now the Former Indian motorcycle dealerships. In 2007 I got in contact w/ the only dlshp. in the midweast (Ohio)that would work on it.They informed me that the majority of the 100 plus engines needed to be overhauled,, at minimum the top end needed to be redone.Price tag on that was another 4,500.With no warranty. You know I got a Brutal Beating on the trade in,,9,600..I contacted the new Indian sales dept.w/ my wonderful experience in hopes of getting a credit or reduction off of that crazy price tag.I still have a copy of the title and pics.My bike only had 3,400 miles..No one could ride that bike it WOULD SHAKE that BADLY.W/ a price tag like that along w/ the economy I don't see them in business very long then again ,no warranty and no one to service it or honor the name Indian. It wold be smart to knock off 10,000 off the price tag on the entire line and some type of credit for the people like myself who took a Indian Motorcycle beating
