V-Twin Expo

road-glideThe 9th annual Easyriders V-Twin Expo was a success in Cincinnati Ohio on February 7-9. There were over four hundred vendors who displayed the latest bikes and wares of 2009.
There were booths for everything from LED lights for your bike from autogem.com, to detachable fairings from Dead Center Cycles, custom rims of all kinds from Renegadewheels.com, chain-wheeland for those who would want to build their own bikes, everything you would need was right there, including the builder’s manual from Limpnickielot.com.
There were a lot of custom choppers on hand as you walked through the convention center. Just about any kind of chopper you would want, they were there, all from different builders. One of the sharpest choppers was the one that was completely made of stainless steel, which you can see in the pictures. There was also the new Sportster, The RoadKing, and the Softail.
They also had a new Quad engine on display. It is two V-Twins side by side and can be seen at www.v-quad.com. It is a powerhouse of an engine that is 214 cubic inches with 150 horsepower. It has dual ss-chopper145mm Mikuni Carbs and is 180 lb. ft. of torque. This was the first of it’s kind that I have ever seen. It’s worth checking out!
The V-Twin show was one of the best this year. If you are like me and like to dream about building your own bike, or just want to upgrade your current bike, then the Expo was the place to be.

My sincerest thanks go out to Jack Lawford of bikerhotline.com for inviting me to the Expo. Jack travels the country to bring biker’s all the latest news and updates in the biker world. I would like to make a comment about the rim that is pictured here. It looks good but I wonder how it would stand up to all the potholes that cover the roadways right now. It just doesn’t seem to be that much supporting it. It is very interesting to look at though to say the least.
